We Learn to Love
Angie McKenna

February 2000

Everyday we learned to Love ...

We learned to Love our unborn baby,
We learned to Love her movements,
Her kicking,
And the growing that we saw ...

We Grew Excited
Everyday we grew excited ...

Excited to see her beautiful face,
Excited to hold her,
Excited to hear her cry,
And watch her smile ...

We Were Angry
Everyday we were Angry ...

Angry that we only saw her once,
Angry that we held her once,
Angry that we did not hear her cry,
And to see her smile,
Angry that she was taken away ...

We learned to Grieve
Everyday we learned to Grieve ...

We Grieved her death,

We Grieved the little girl that every day we learned to Love ...
