Someday
by Genii T. Squires
I see your face in her eyes.
In her face,
I see remnants
Of your life.
I hold her tightly
And whisper
To the wind,
"I miss you,baby.
Wherever you are.
You are always Mommy's
First love."
Time silhouetted against
The backdrop
Of one lonely sky
Where you float,
Perched on your
Angel wings.
I reach out to you.
Your smile
That I never knew,
Fades before
The dream ends.
Your life
I'll never feel again.
Through her,
I'll live
As if you were still
A part of my world.
When I love her
With all my heart,
Please feel it too. |
