ravaged

"I wrote this poem the day of my most recent miscarriage, which was almost 2 years after the stillbirth of my son Kadin. I was so entrenched in this recent loss that I nearly forgot that not everything truly dies in my life - after all, I have a beautiful daughter who is the light of my life. I think that this particular poem reflects how unsure of my own body I felt, how angry I was, and how lost and devastated I was at yet another loss - the 5th." Paula Long, founder of Honored Babies, is mom to Alexandria (born 11/95), Kadin (born still 7/98), and 4 miscarried babies.
Additional Note: Christian came into my life on September 24, 2002. My precious new baby was born alive and is very healthy. His birth brought a great deal of joy into my life and helped me smile again.
