My Precious Baby Girl
by Tiffani Hood
My sweet, sweet Emma
Oh how I miss you so.
I long so much to hold you
And count your little toes.
To rub your soft head
Up against my cheek.
To hold your little hands
And kiss your tiny feet.
To hug you so tight
And cuddle you
In the wee morning hours
When the moon is still full
Or the sun beams in daylight.
To stare in true amazement
Of the miracle you are.
God made you perfect in every way,
A bright and shining star.
You will always be precious to me
And I will never forget
The 9 months that I carried you
And all the days that I have wept.
You moved around so much
I often use to dream
If you would have been an acrobat
Or a gymnast on the Olympic team.
I know that you are in heaven
Right where you need to be.
Close to the Father above
And in His arms you forever will be.
I think of you so often
Wondering what you would be like.
Each day and month that comes and goes
I wish I could see you grow.
I know you would have been a beautiful young woman
But I sure do miss you so.
I know God will take much better care of you
Than I could ever have done.
I can't wait to see you one day.
I pray the time will soon come.
So, until that day is finally here
Please obey God and do what He says.
I may just ask Him how you were.
I'm anxious to hear every word He says.
I will always love you,
My precious baby girl.
Love,
Mom |
