One Year Today
"Katelyn's Mommy"

We are sad to say.
You would have turned one today.
Our heart's still break.
For the breath you never got to take.
We were so excited to have you.
We bought everything Winnie the pooh.
The minute God took you.
He took a big piece of us too.
They all say "It gets easier someday".
But they don't know the pain we feel everyday.
We wish God never took you away.
Even though we know we will reunite one day.
How many Mom's can say.
I gave birth to an Angel one year ago today.
Comments: I wrote this for Katelyn in the first weeks following her birth thinking about all of the birthdays we are going to miss.
