The Birthday Present
by Teresa Blanding
I awoke very early filled with joy,
like a kid with a brand new toy.
What will today bring for me,
it's my birthday...my, my, let's see.
Several people called with a birthday cheer,
each one was very dear.
Finally I decided to take the PG test,
hoping against hope only for the best.
It happened...just like I wanted it to,
FOR NOW I WAS PREGNANT WITH YOU!
I thanked God for such a WONDERFUL gift,
it was such a delight...oh what a lift!
I thought everything would be fine,
as I ended my day...
little did I know, things would turn out
another way!
I made lifetime plans just for you,
I knew what to say...and what to do!
I wanted my birthday present the moment
you came...
I immediately bonded...I knew your name!
Though my gift was Heaven bound, teeny.
and small...
you were one of God's LITTLE ANGELS,
THE GREATEST GIFT OF ALL! |
I'm the mother of six sons and a little angel. I found out I was pregnant on my birthday. I miscarried my baby during my birth month. You may contact Teresa at rbtb1220@bellsouth.net.
